I remember a business professor of mine at U of T saying that quality is getting what you expect. Does KFC deliver quality? He argued yes.
You know that when you go to KFC, they will provide soggy fries, oily chicken, and a small salad in a short amount of time. To expect anything less is the fault of the consumer, not the company.
Tosh shouldn’t have said, “Wouldn’t it be hilarious if five men raped her right now?”, but the truth is, a comedian must respond to a heckler quickly and funnily. Sometimes, what his quick response will be outrageous. While you can castigate him for making the joke, people need to appreciate that heckling is a no-no. Standup is hard enough without heckling. Of course, I’m not saying that the woman deserved a rape joke because she heckled. Sad that we live in a world where I need to emphasize that.
